Robert Nigh, Jr. joined Brewster & De Angelis in 2000 as a seasoned criminal attorney to help with the growing criminal practice of the firm. His arrival at the firm has solidified the firm's commitment and ability to provide the best defense possible to the firm's clients. To many, Rob needs no introduction. He is a proven advocate in the area of criminal defense working in both private practice and the public defender's office over his sixteen-year career. Well respected by attorneys and judges, Rob brings not only his advocacy skills into the courtroom on behalf of his clients but a well earned reputation for integrity exemplified by his demeanor and articulated knowledge in the field of criminal law.

While Rob has represented a number of individuals facing a broad range of charges over his career, he may be best known for his representation of Timothy McVeigh. In such cases the national media spotlight can be intense and the verdict in the court of public opinion may diminish the ability of the accused to receive a fair trial.  This reality can be disillusioning for many criminal defense attorneys, but it is something that Rob weathered with dignity always keeping his eye on his task: presenting the best defense possible for his client and attempting to ensure that Timothy McVeigh was afforded all of his constitutionally protected rights.

Rob has a national reputation as a criminal defense attorney and has been called upon to speak to and work with criminal defense associations at the state and national level. Rob has appeared on ABC's 20/20, Barbara Walters, Night Line with Ted Koppel, CBS's 60 Minutes II, and NBC's Meet the Press.

Robert (Rob) Nigh, Jr. graduated from William Jewell College in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and in 1985 from the University of Oklahoma College of Law with a Juris Doctorate. He is a member of the Tulsa County Bar Association, and the Oklahoma Bar Association. He is also a member of the Tulsa County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Oklahoma Criminal Defense Association Lawyer's Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Rob is admitted to practice before the Oklahoma Bar, United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma and the District of Nebraska. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eighth and Tenth Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States.
