CLARK BREWSTER: We handle cases that go to trial and most of those cases are either going to be catastrophic injury or wrongful death. But we've handled very complex civil cases, even civil rights cases.

CLARK BREWSTER: Cases that interest us where we think we could make a difference for our client. It's our job to tell them the legal issues or how the facts might impact the legal issue or being able to project legal strategy or what might go on in the courtroom.
But the upshot of it is, the client is always the boss and we want to make sure that we're doing our job to advise that client, inform that client. We receive our directions and instructions at decision time from that client. We never lose sight of that.
The attorneys here have been with me, most of them their entire careers. They're not just lawyers in a firm, they're very close friends and almost family. I've tried to assemble a group of lawyers that are very good writers, very good people, individuals, people that like people, who like being around people, like helping people and are very service-oriented.
When we accept a case at this firm, we work on it as a team effort. So if you retain me as your lawyer, ultimately it's going to involve one or two of the other lawyers in this firm. It facilitates communication, it makes the response time faster and also the ideas are better when you have more than one person working on a legal issue.
The reputation of this firm is to be a very good trial firm and a firm that can get a good result for their clients. We must prepare if we're going to accept the case to go trial. Because if you don't prepare from the beginning in going to trial, you don't possess the power to cause resolution or power to make the decisions that benefit the client.
