About
Thomas S. Reese is an associate attorney at Brewster & De Angelis, where he brings nearly a decade of criminal defense experience to his client-centered advocacy in both state and federal court. He considers the most important part of his job to be telling his client’s story to achieve the best possible outcome.
Thomas began his career in 2017 as an Assistant Public Defender in the Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office, representing thousands of indigent defendants on criminal charges in state court. In 2023, he joined the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Northern District of Oklahoma as an Assistant Federal Public Defender, trying cases on behalf of individuals facing criminal charges in federal court. Through that work, Thomas established himself as a distinguished trial attorney and advocate, winning favorable outcomes in high-stakes cases before judges and juries. He is a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College’s Daryl Dantzler Trial Practice Institute, the foremost criminal defense trial advocacy program nationwide.
A lifelong Oklahoman, Thomas earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma and his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He is an active member of the Federal Bar Association Northern/Eastern Oklahoma Chapter, where he serves on the Board of Directors. Thomas is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Oklahoma Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Thomas is admitted to practice before the Oklahoma Bar, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
